SCREENING PROCESS
Minneapolis Area DFL Senior Caucus 2025 screening questionnaires are now available! You can find the questionnaires for all of the Minneapolis races on the State DFL Senior Caucus website HERE. The deadline for completed questionnaires to be considered for the first round of screenings was Monday, April 21.
Candidates seeking the DFL Senior Caucus endorsement must complete a written questionnaire, available on the state MN DFL Senior Caucus website HERE. Completed submissions are then forwarded to the Minneapolis Area Chapter for consideration.
MInneapolis City Council 2025 Please note - Timing did not permit us to screen and recommend City Council candidates before the Ward Conventions this year. We may consider recommending City Council candidates for endorsement after the conventions.
The City DFL Convention is scheduled for Saturday, July 19 – Sunday, July 20. That timing allows for the Screening Committee to conduct interviews and make recommendations for the races for Mayor, Board of Estimate and Taxation, and Park Board before the convention.

MINNEAPOLIS MAYORAL CANDIDATE FORUM
On April 10, 2025, the MPLS Area DFL Senior Cacucus hosted a Mayoral Candidate Forum. All 6* of the candidates who were seeking the DFL endorsement at the time participated. Well over 300 people attended this early opportunity to hear directly from each candidate about their priorities for the city and their ideas for cultivating safe, livable communities where all generations of Minneapolis residents can thrive in a healthy environment.
